Title: Tribute to late Nancy Faith Lowenberg

WHEREAS, Nancy Faith Loewenberg, philanthropist and volunteer to many notable charities and worthy organizations; devoted wife to prominent architect and residential and mixed-use real estate developer James Loewenberg; and a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, has gone on to her eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, the Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Faith Loewenberg was born in South Bend, Indiana to the late Harry and Eve Rosenstein and was the sister of the late June Rosenstein; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Faith Loewenberg blazed a luminous trail through her generous support of many benevolent and charitable organizations including the Chicago Greater Food Depository; the Legal Aid Bureau of United Charities; the Women's Board ofthe American Cancer Society; the Women's Association of the Chicago Symphony and the Women's Architectural League of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Faith Loewenberg was a Life Member ofthe Women's Athletic Club; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Faith Loewenberg is survived by her daughter Robin Tebbe, grandson James Ronald Berger; great-grandson Michael Edward Berger; step-grandson Steve Tebbe; step-granddaughter Kira Tebbe and will be dearly missed by her loving family and; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and the members ofthe Chicago City Council assembled this twentieth day of May 2019, do hereby express our sorrow and extend deepest condolences to the family of Nancy Faith Loewenberg on her passing, May 12, 2019.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Robin Tebbe in remembrance.
