RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite Wisdom has called Karen E. Maher to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Karen E. Maher (nee Klocko) 72, March 28, 2016, lifetime resident ofthe southwest side of Chicago - of Clearing neighborhood. Beloved wife of Francis P. Maher, II; cherished mother of Francis (Margaret) Maher, Julie (Chris) Bania and the late Kellie T. Maher; devoted grandmother of Ronald (Bonnie), Caylie (Kyle), Francis, Evan, Robert, Michael, Richard and Nicholas; loving great-grandmother of many; dear sister of Walter "Ike" Klocko and the late Bruce Klocko; fond sister-in-law of James Maher and an admired aunt of Felix, Benjamin, Patrick, Margaret and Maureen. She loved to cook dinners for her family and friends, and loved all animals, especially her little dog, Cappy. Karen E. Maher leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this third day of October, 2012, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Karen E. Maher and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Karen E. Maher.
