CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO MARGIE SLISZ ON RETIREMENT FROM
NORTH PARK VILLAGE.
WHEREAS, Margie Slisz is retiring after working the last 17 years as the property manager of North Park Village; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this special event by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Through Margie's hard work, diligence, and dedication, North Park Village is a well-managed and safe building, one of the premiere senior housing buildings in the city of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Margie Slisz has been a very valued manager and has consistently represented the highest level of professionalism. Her exemplary service, her tenaciousness, and her attention to detail will certainly be missed; and
WHEREAS, Margie worked time and overtime to make North Park Village a highly-desired senior housing facility. She has earned the respect not only of her colleagues and those working under her direction, but also of the grateful residents of the North Park Village; and
WHEREAS, Margie's ability to communicate and develop relationships with the community leaders, elected officials and most especially, North Park Village residents, contributed greatly to her success. People living at North Park Village were more than just residents in the building; they became members of Margie's extended family; and
WHEREAS, Although Margie will be sorely missed by her friends and colleagues, retirement will give her more time to devote to her family and friends now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty second day of June, 2016, do hereby express our gratitude and heartiest congratulations to Margie Slisz as she retires and we extend our very best wishes for continued happiness; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented, to Margie Slisz,
