MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, Sister M. Josephine Janicki was called by God to her eternal reward on January 31, 2013, at Our Lady of the Angels Convent; and
 
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Sister M. Josephine Janicki was an active and vital member of her community. The beloved daughter of the late Bruno and Agnes; beloved sister of the late Celia (the late Ben) Chrapkowski, the late Lucy (the late Edward) Chrapkowski, the late Reverend Theodore Janicki, the late Julius (the late Frances), the late Bruno (the late Julia), the late Harriett (the late Al) Norris, the late Flrian, the late Tillie (the late Bill) Hartman, the late Joseph (Georgia and the late Casimir (the late Frances); dear aunt of many nieces and nephews, Sister Josephine leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
 
WHEREAS, A beloved member of the Felician Sisters Community for seventy-six years, Sister Josephine will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
 
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirteenth day of February 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Sister M. Josephine Janicki and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
 
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sister M. Josephine Janicki.
