SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE


WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2015 of the City of Chicago (the "City") contains estimates of revenues receivable as grants from agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agendes; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8 of the Annual Appropriation Ordinance, the heads of various departments and agencies of the City have applied to agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies for grants to theCity for various purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Public Health has been awarded additional federal grant funds in the amount of $55,000 by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention which shall be used for the Bioterrorism Preparedness Response Planning Project; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Family and Support Services ("DFSS") has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $167,000 by the Illinois Department on Aging ("IDOA") which shall be used for the Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act Project; and

WHEREAS, the City through DFSS has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $162,000 by IDOA which shall be used for theMedicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative; and

WHEREAS, the City through DFSS anticipates receiving private grant funds from various sources in the amount of $600,000, of which $300,000 represents carry-over grant funds that were not accurately reflected in the current budget which shall be used for the Senior Program Private Contribution Project; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Office of Emergency Management and Communications ("OEMC") has been awarded private grant funds in the amount of $5,000 by Target Corporation which shall be used for the Emergency ManagementPrivate Support Project; and
