RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Antonio M. Romanucci, a widely admired member of the legal community, has been named the 2016 recipient of the Justinian Award of Excellence; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this honor by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, The award is presented annually by the Justinian Society of Lawyers, one of the largest ethnic bar associations in the United States with the commonality of Italian heritage; and
WHEREAS, Antonio M. Romanucci is a Principal and Partner of Romanucci 85 Blandin, LLC and has been widely recognized for his insight and experience in traumatic brain injuries and related legal issues; and
WHEREAS, Antonio M. Romanucci graduated from the University of Wisconsin and earned his law degree from John Marshall Law School; and
WHEREAS, Antonio M. Romanucci has participated in many professional and charitable organizations, including the American Association for Justice and the Illinois Supreme Court Rules Committee; and
WHEREAS, Antonio M. Romanucci is a Founding Chairman of the Midwest Brain Injury Clubhouse and is a Founder of the Justinian Society of Lawyers Charitable Endowment Fund; and
WHEREAS, Antonio M. Romanucci has served in prominent leadership positions, including Chair of the Police Misconduct Litigation Group and as Vice-Chair of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group of the American Association for Justice, the world's largest trial bar; and
WHEREAS, Antonio M. Romanucci is an individual who is exceedingly worthy of our admiration and esteem; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twentieth day of July, 2016, do hereby congratulate Antonio M. Romanucci on receiving this prestigious honor and do hereby extend our best wishes for his continued success and achievement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Antonio M. Romanucci.
