ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. Chapter 4-244-140 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by adding the language underscored as follows:

4-244-140 Prohibited districts.
(a) No one having a peddler's license shall peddle any merchandise or any other article or thing whatsoever, at any time, within districts which have been or shall be hereafter designated by the city council. A description of such districts shall be kept in the office of the city clerk.

(27) Peddling is prohibited at any time within the 14th Ward boundaries:
beginning at the intersection of South Cicero Avenue and West 47th Street: thence east on West 47th Street to the Chicago Belt Railroad; thence north along the Chicago Belt Railroad to the south shoreline of the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal: thence northeast on the south shoreline of the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal to the Norfolk Southern Railroad: thence south on the Norfolk Southern Railroad to West Pershing Road: thence east on West Pershing Road to South Kedzie Avenue: thence south on South Kedzie Avenue to West 44th Street: thence east on West 44th Street to South Albany Avenue: thence south on South Albany Avenue to West 47th Street: thence east on West 47th Street to South Talman Avenue; thence south on South Talman Avenue to West 48th Street: thence east on West 48th Street to South Western Avenue; thence south on South Western Avenue to West 52nd Street; thence west on West 52nd Street to the alley just east of South Artesian Avenue: thence south along the alley just east of South Artesian Avenue to the alley just north of West 54th Street; thence west along the alley just north of West 54th Street to South Artesian Avenue; thence south on South Artesian Avenue to West 54th Street; thence west on West 54th Street to South Artesian Avenue; thence south on South Artesian Avenue to West 5...
