RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Joseph Flamm, a resident of Chicago's Humboldt Park community, has won the coveted title of "Top Chef'; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this event by Aldermen Edward M. Burke and Roberto Maldonado; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Flamm, the Executive Chef at Chicago's Michelin- starred Spiaggia and Cafe Spiaggia, was raised in a large Italian family in the Ashburn neighborhood and attended Marist High School; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Flamm studied at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Chicago and sharpened his culinary skills while working at BellyQ, Girl and the Goat and Table 52; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Flamm has cooked for Presidents, celebrities, and the James Beard Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Flamm competed head-to-head in the 15th season in the finale of the highly acclaimed Bravo series against fellow Chicagoan and Hyde Park native Adrienne Cheatham to win the $125,000 prize; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Flamm and his fellow finalist were tasked with serving a four-course meal to a table of famous chefs and restaurateurs; and
WHEREAS, The culinary talent, hard work and dedication of Joseph Flamm serve as an example to all; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-eighth day of March, 2018, do hereby congratulate Joseph Flamm on winning the title of "Top Chef'; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Joseph Flamm.
