RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING GRACE WILLIAMS

WHEREAS, Grace Williams was born on April 7, 1920. She consequently celebrates her 102^nd birthday this year; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward, has apprised the members of the chamber of this remarkable woman's auspicious milestone; and

WHEREAS, Grace was born in Huntsville, Alabama; and

WHEREAS, Grace married Humus Hawk and together they had two sons, Gregory and Theron. She later married George Williams and celebrated many happy years; and

WHEREAS, Grace is an active member of Landmark Baptist Church. She receives great strength from reading her Bible daily; and

WHEREAS, Grace's many accomplishments demonstrate strength, character and fortitude that serve as an example to today's youth and her fellow residents at Senior Suites at Midway Village; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City of Chicago City Council, gathered together this twenty-third Day of March, 2022, do hereby congratulate Grace Williams on her 102^nd birthday and extend our very best wishes for many more birthdays to come.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Grace Williams.
