RESOLUTION

 

 

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Betty Brady to her eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Betty Brady, 94, of Bedford Park, died February 26, 2022. Betty was born in Summit, IL on November 3,1927, to Joseph and Elsie Clinnin. She graduated from Zion Lutheran School in 1941 and Argo Community High School in 1945. At Argo, she met her future husband, Raymond. They were married for 64 years. She held many jobs including at Argo High School and at Argo Corn Products. Ray and Betty traveled and sailed extensively. Betty was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and at Zion Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member. She was a part time member at Concordia Lutheran in Sarasota, Florida. Betty loved her family, friends, her church, baseball, hockey and living in Bedford Park. She is survived by her son David and many nephews and nieces. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Elsie Clinnin, husband Raymond Brady, daughter Shauna, her brother Joseph (Alice) Clinnin, and her sister Fern (Harry) Bumber; and

 

WHERAS, Betty Brady leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this twenty-third day of March 2022, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Betty Brady and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the family of Betty Brady. /-~\
