Appendix B:

See pgs 238-242 of the Aldermanic Budget Briefing Book for a full accounting of more than 1,669 Police Department vacancies. Amendment would reappropriate the salaries of approximately 20075 unhired entry level officers to fund CDPH mental health crisis response teams to properly address crises and offload stress on the 911 system. This will ensure that we use trained professionals as the right tool to prevent and respond to mental health crises.
