Re: Building Permit Reimbursement
Dear Alderman Reilly:
After speaking with your staffer Louie Grecnebaum during the week of March 15th, we discussed the City's reimbursement of the Environmental Law & Policy Center's (ELPC) building permit due to our status as a lax exempt 'organization under both federal and slate law. Mr. Grecnebaum informed nie that after speakirig with the Committee on Finance, the permit fee can be reimbursed.
Enclosed with this correspondence arc the documents that have been requested via e-mail on March 19th in order to initiate the permit fee reimbursement process. The documents enclosed are: (1) a copy of the check used to pay for the building permit in the amount of $3,637.00, (2) a copy of the approved permit application #100331382, (3) a copy of our federal tax exempt status under section 501(c)(3) and (4) a copy of our state-taxi, exempt status. Please advise me whether you will need any additional information.
On behalf of the Environmental Law & Policy Center, we thank you and Louie Greenebaum for your assistance in gaining reimbursement for our building permit fee.
Sincerely,
